Do Diets Really Work?

You can’t spell diet without ‘die’. So many magazines and health companies go on about how diets help lose weight. I don’t believe so because sportsmen need a health diet to ensure good endurance levels and muscle strength and need to consume the right foods such as vegetables and protein, etc as fatty foods add on weight and can hinder performance levels but eating less food is the equivalent of starving yourself. Exercise makes one lose more weight than diets. Diets should not be the main source of losing weight and should go hand in hand with an activity such as gymming or a sports activity. A diet on its own is depriving yourself of food for results that will take months if not years to achieve. A diet and exercise is more efficient than a diet on its own.
