Religious Relativism

If it is easy to idealise a belief on the basis of minimal evidence then it should be just as easy to dismiss it as such. Even as a Christian raised young man, sometimes I can’t help but wonder whether my beliefs are justified. I’ve moved from unwaveringly religious to unsettlingly sceptical. The existence of an infinite number of religions each with their distinguishing (but inter-contradictory) ideas makes it quite difficult to believe that the particular belief one has chosen is the correct one. Is there any one religion that can be regarded more accurate than another one? Or is religion perhaps just an over-praised checklist by which we govern our life’s decisions?
