When our nails grow too long, we cut off the nails… not the fingers.
Similarly when misunderstandings emerge, we cut our egos and not our relationships.
Could it be that our inability to compromise or empathise with other people over insignificant issues, hinders the connections that we have with them?
Or do we hide behind our misunderstandings with people and create unnecessary conflicts as a way to question the integrity of a relationship and induce a breakup?
Most people cut and prune things to stimulate regrowth, whilst others cut things to bring upon death.
