Well into the Information Age, it does not take much to see that Information Technology (IT) has to be the fastest growing sphere out there. With strides being made on a daily basis, why not stick your hand out and claim your piece of this trillion dollar pie? With a plethora of careers to choose from including (but not restricted to) IT specialists, computer technologists, programmers and software developers the leg room is enigmatic. Despite the generally good pay across the field and the high demand for ‘techies’, the unorthodox working hours and the inevitable technology dependency that comes with the exposure to the field are not to go unmentioned. Are the generous pay checks and somewhat guaranteed job security enough to compensate for the consecutive 3am nights and possible technology-driven deficiencies?
